Sensi Peel

Regenesis Medical Spa offers the Sensi Peel especially formulated for  use in clients with sensitive skin and higher Fitzpatrick skin tones. This  superficial and gentle peel is the perfect chemical peel for any client  who suffers with rosacea and sensitive skin. This peel targets advanced  concerns such as acne breakouts and sun-induced pigmentation. The  Sensi Peel’s blend of plant-derived ingredients and AHAs contribute to a  brighter and more even skin tone.

How it works

The Sensi peel contains 6% TCA, which helps to improve fine lines and  wrinkles, and acne scarring and 12% lactic acid which brightens skin  and evens skin tone. Lactic acid breaks down bonds between skin cells  to allow for easier exfoliation of dead surface cells while hydrating the  skin. It also functions as a melanogenesis inhibitor by suppressing the  formation of tyrosinase. Other ingredients include 2% hydroquinone which lightens skin, kojic acid, cL-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C ), azelaic  acid, resorcinol, arbutin, marshmallow root extract, and sweet almond  oil. Sensi Peel strengthens and brightens skin by stimulating natural  collagen production without increasing erythema. Although the peel is  milder than other peels, it still is aggressive enough to remove any dead  skin cells, treat superficial lines, blackheads and shrink the size of your  pores.

What to expect from a Sensi Peel?

Initially, a slight stinging sensation may be noted once the peel is  applied, although this quickly subsides. Once the Sensi Peel has been  applied, patients are free to return home. This peel is self-neutralizing  and does not need to be removed and should be left overnight before  cleansing the face the next morning.

What to expect after a Sensi Peel?

Following the peel, ypur skin may appear slightly red. Most patients  who undergo these treatments have residual redness for up to twelve  hours post procedure. By day 2, your skin may begin to flake, usually  starting between your eyes, around your mouth and nose. Sun damaged  spots may turn darker prior to peeling. Do not peel the skin. This may  cause hyperpigmentation. By Day 3, our skin will flake, peel and feel  tight. Begin using a strong hydrating cream and use it often throughout  the day. You must completely avoid the sun during this time and wear  SPF 30 anytime you go outdoors. The majority of peeling takes place  between days 3 and 4. Continue with cleansing and moisturizing. By the  end of the second week, you should be able to tolerate glycolic, salicylic,  vitamin C, and retinol, retinoid products. The Sensi peel should be  repeated every two to three weeks for optimal results. A series of six peels is recommended to achieve maximum results and can be  performed every 7 to 10 days.
