At Regenesis, Dr Hudson also uses the Restylane® line of hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds and restore volume in the aging face. Produced by Galderma, this clear gel dermal filler is also indicated for use in lip enhancement. Restylane® acts very much like the body’s naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, instantly hydrating the affected skin and soft tissues to visibly smooth and plump out facial folds, wrinkles around the patient’s mouth, marionette lines, restoring definition and fullness to areas of the face where volume loss has occurred.

Dr Hudson determines the areas where Restylane® will be injected. Injection of a local anesthetic may be performed to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Small amounts of the Restylane® are injected and distributed evenly using a massaging technique. Each treatment requires less than twenty minutes to perform depending on the extent of correction that is required by the client.
The results obtained from Restylane® will be noticeable immediately following the injection and can last for up to nine months with outcomes varying from patient to patient.
Commonly reported side effects with Restylane® injections include redness, swelling, itchiness, and bruising at the injection site. These tend to resolve within a week following injection. One of the rare risks with using dermal fillers is the unintentional injection of filler into a blood vessel. The risk of this happening is extremely low, but should it happen, the complications can be serious and permanent. These complications include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, tissue necrosis, temporary scabs, and permanent scarring of the skin. Most of these events are irreversible.

Restylane® Silk
