In order to achieve optimal results, about six peels, each scheduled two weeks apart, are typically required. After that, maintenance peels are usually performed every one to three months.
A Micropeel begins with a thorough cleansing of the skin, followed by genrle exfoliation using the Altair Diamondtome DM5000 microdermabrasion machine. A light chemical peel then follows, either glycolic or mild TCA. You may experience a mild burning sensation lasting a few minutes during the procedure. Extractions are performed as needed and the procedure is completed with the application of a vitamin facial serum to nourish and replete the skin.
