Microdermabrasion
At Regenesis, we offer medical grade Microdermabrasion, using the Altair Diamondtome DM5000 machine, which is crystal free and is recognized as the gold standard in the aesthetic and beauty industry As we age, our skin begins to look old and tired due to the development of a thick layer of keratin on the outer surface of the skin. Other factors such as over exposure to the sun, environmental, and genetic factors also contribute to the aged appearance of the skin.
How it works
Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive cosmetic office treatment during which the skin is gently exfoliated removing the top dead skin layer using a wand connected to a suctioning device. The procedure is relatively painless. Between five to ten treatments may be required before seeing noticeable improvements in the appearance of the skin. Treatment can be performed weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly, depending on the client’s skin type and the indications and goals of treatment. Most commonly performed on the skin of the face and neck, the treatment can be performed on almost any part of the body. Microdermabrasion may also be used to enhance the absorption of anti-aging serum or skin-bleaching
topicals. This procedure can facilitate penetration of products applied to the skin. A Microdermabrasion can also be performed in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures to maximize and augment their results.

A Microdermabrasion at Regenesis Medical Spa begins with thorough cleansing of the skin followed by a microdermabrasion procedure to remove dead skin cells At Regenesis, microdermabrasion involves the use of a medical grade diamond tipped
tool applied with suction which provides a very gentle skin exfoliation. This tool effectively removes dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin and clients can immediately see the improvement in the tone and texture of their skin following
one treatment. A vitamin serum and moisturizer is applied to protect the skin following treatment. Clients have the option of adding a peel to a Microdermabrasion to enhance the results.
Microdermabrasion treatment frequency depends on your skin-type and your goals. Typically, treatments are spaced at least two weeks apart. Usually, 6 to 10 sessions are scheduled 7 to 14 days apart depending on the skin concern. The frequency of these sessions can vary as per your skin’s needs and your skin-care goals. The results you get from microdermabrasion are cumulative. Once you have completed the recommended number of sessions for your skin type, client can choose to have touch up sessions “once” every 1 to 3 months. This will ideally maintain the full
effects of treatment. With repeated treatments, you can combat the appearance of aging, wrinkles, enlarged pores and increase the effectiveness of topical skincare treatments.
After a microdermabrasion treatment, your skin will have a pink glow, which should eventually fade after a day or so. Any redness might last a little longer if you have had a more aggressive treatment. One single treatment should leave your skin looking bright and feeling buttery soft.
